About Dave
Dave Hauber is a retired District Judge with 18 years of judicial service on the civil bench of the Tenth Judicial District of Kansas (Johnson County), having presided from 2008 until retirement in April 2026. He was appointed by Governor Kathleen Sebelius and retained by voters in both 2010 and 2014.
Prior to judicial service, he built a 25-year career in civil litigation practice in the Kansas City area, including tenures at Baty, Holm & Numrich, P.C. (2001–2008) and Boddington & Brown, Chtd. (1983–2001). Dave holds a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law (1983) and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas (1977). Dave was admitted to practice before the Kansas and Missouri state bars, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and the Seventh, Eighth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
He is active in the legal community as a member of the Kansas Bar Association.
